The unique active Fire Prevention System creates an atmosphere where a fire cannot happen to begin with. This system provides the most advanced and highest level of fire safety and security.
In this solution pressure relief valves are not required, no damage from smoke occurs and lifetime observation of the room integrity is done automatically.
Fire Prevention: WAGNER's OxyReduct®:
OxyReduct ® - Concepts:
The solution for the highest protection requirements:
OxyReduct® can be used in any situation where the highest level of fire protection is essential. High value technical installations, such as in telecommunications or data processing centres where interruption cannot be allowed, or irreplaceable items such as museum exhibits which need constant protection from fire damage. OxyReduct® removes any fear of a possible outbreak of fire.
Fire prevention is the ultimate goal in fire protection.
The advantages of an active fire prevention system are:
Certainty of avoiding outbreak and spread of fire
Permanent and preventative fire protection to secure business processes and valuable goods
Avoidance of further damage from smoke, spread of fire or from extinguishing agents
Problem-free adaptability to changes in fire risk
Wide-ranging design freedom
Cost savings at the construction stage of fire detection measures
Personnel retain access to protected areas

Under normal circumstances a fire can start at any time. According to the value of the goods requiring protection, measures should be in place to minimise damage for such a scenario. Measures stretch from simple hand-held extinguishers to automatic early fire detection and extinguishing systems. All previously existing methods have one thing in common: they can only react once a fire has already started.
With OxyReduct ® WAGNER offers a system that can actively prevent a fire starting and can therefore offer one hundred percent fire protection of your assets. Who wouldn't like to feel totally confident in saying "fire simply cannot break out here any more!"
OxyReduct ® - Operation:
How does OxyReduct ® work?
OxyReduct ® offers active fire prevention. The oxygen content of a room is controlled using a patented conditioning technology. The reduction is so precise that in a given room a fire cannot start yet people can continue to be present without any side effects. This oxygen reduction is aided by nitrogen, which is generated from normal atmospheric air.
Operation and Advantages of OxyReduct:
Fire prevention through extraction of oxygen:
In order for a fire to start, heat and oxygen from the atmosphere are needed. If the oxygen is reduced, the flammability levels also decline. Below a certain level of oxygen concentration, fire can simply no longer burn. This is the principle of OxyReduct ®.
"OxyReduct ®" = "Oxygen reduction": OxyReduct ®, the innovative system of active fire prevention, facilitates a controlled reduction of oxygen levels in enclosed areas. By introducing nitrogen the oxygen content can be reduced and held at a precise level. In such an atmosphere, outbreak of fire can be excluded.
The protected area remains accessible
Rooms protected by OxyReduct® remain accessible to personnel, so that there is no reduction in functionality of the space. This claim is supported by numerous experts.
Production of nitrogen on-site
The nitrogen required to reduce the oxygen concentration can be generated in a cost-effective manner on-site using an air processing system.
Advantages of using nitrogen to reduce oxygen content:
In combination with air it forms the most tolerant mixture to breathe
Is present at 78% of normal atmospheric air
Is simple to generate on-site
Is non-toxic
Distributes quickly and evenly
Fire Prevention - Applications:
OxyReduct ® applications - as unique as your assets
We work together with our customers to determine the exact level of protection required. Each customer needs an OxyReduct® system tailored to specific and unique needs. Every project focuses on meeting the individual customer's requirements and a solution is always possible. We can provide the solution.
Storage of flammable goods:
Preventative security of dangerous goods whilst retaining access
Simple adaptation of the OxyReduct® system to a change in layout of the stored goods
Reduction of environmental risk due to active fire avoidance
Cost-efficient total solution through optimisation of building regulations under guidance of the relevant authorities
Foodstuffs- / Seasonal goods:
Continuous protection against fire for foodstuffs and seasonal goods which may be difficult to replace whilst retaining access for personnel
No risk of smoke damage for easily contaminated and delicate goods
Free access to all shelf areas, as no built-in detector units are required
OxyReduct® is readily adaptable to a change in use of the protected area
Automatic parking systems:
Avoidance of the start or spread of fire facilitated by securing an atmosphere of reduced oxygen content
Protection from fire where assistance from fire service is difficult or impossible
Simple servicing without shutting down the automated parking system
Accessibility during maintenance work remains possible
Server rooms:
Preventative protection from fire for company's own and customer-specific data
Continuous fire protection whilst retaining accessibility of the protected area
Constant access to the IT infrastructure without risk of crash due to outbreak of fire
Simple adaptation of the OxyReduct® system to a change in use of area
Safe vaults:
Elimination of the risk of fire for the stored goods through creation of an atmosphere with reduced oxygen content
Despite maximum fire protection levels the area remains fully accessible
OxyReduct® provides a solution without the need for pressure release valves
Oxygen levels in the vaults can be controlled according to usage patterns: for example oxygen levels can be further reduced at night, weekends and on public holidays
Frozen storage / Cool stores:
Continuous protection of stored items even at low temperatures
Avoidance of damage to stored goods from smoke, spread of fire and extinguishing agents
Simple adaptation of the OxyReduct® system to changes in flammability levels ensures flexibility of use of the facility
Reduction of environmental risk due to active fire avoidance
Protected area remains accessible
