TechXact’s Green Data Center Solution Large amounts of data in the minimum space Thermal loads up to 21 kW |
With the trend to computers of higher and higher performance and at the same time an ever-tighter package density in server racks, demand is increasing for intelligent systems for the optimization of energy and space efficiency. High density solutions are what IT decision-makers are looking for. Faster and more powerful server systems are being housed in smaller and smaller spaces. Heatload spots of up to 21 kW have to handled, whatever the temperature of the ambient air. The market demands complete, space-saving solutions for reducing the heat level of server cabinets.
Demands relating to safety, the autarky of the entire system and power management are also rising steadily. The remote maintenance of a computer center or of individual server locations is the current requirement of the industry. Practically all the cabinet parameters from temperature, moisture, smoke and vibration to door contacts and access check and mains-phase monitoring should be recorded and documented in a single unit.
Side-by-Side Installation and Mounting:
There is consequently a strict climatic separation between rack and computer center. Through the additional separation of the cooling unit in its own integrated and enclosed unit, the rack climate is not affected when the cooling unit is opened while in operation. An optimal climate is continuously maintained for the servers. For protection from environmental influences, the SP54_Q Rack comes with the IP54 protective system as standard.
Protection from Environmental Influences:
Through the separation of server cabinet and cooling unit, two autarkic areas are established which can be managed in safety and service respects as desired by the customer without affecting the system in operation. Four-point interlocking is a standard feature of air-conditioned cabinets to assure the perfect sealing of the rack.

Closure Safety and Accessibility:
With UNIQLE, TechXact is systematically implementing the principle of a cooling system integrated in the server rack. The decision for integration is a logical step. Server space is not unlimited! And through the trend to higher and higher computer performance accompanied by a greater packaging density, server racks must assure a maximum of space efficiency. This enables a maximum computer density per m2 floor space to be achieved.

Element 2 - Up to 21 kW Useful Cooling Capacity on a Floor Space of 0.96 m2:
Redundancy / high fail-safe reserves through two fans In the event of sensor fracture or fan failure: automatic system adjustment to 100 % fan output and 100 % valve opening Integrated function control and monitoring self-contained and enclosed housing design Independent unit, separate from cabinet parts carrying water only in the floor area and in a separate housing 100 % circulating air– thermal independence in relation to ambient air access to all active components from the front, fans on the suction side, replacement through the front door Maintenance / replacement of heat-exchanger without dismantling other components Fan-performance adjustment by speed regulation and 3-way valve in water circuit Regulation of incoming-air temperature Energy requirement matched to performance Optimal air distribution commercially available connections at cooling unit counseling by specialist partners for planning and installation of cooling equipment.
Equipment Components:
High-performance heat-exchanger, featuring aluminum fins and copper piping, hydrophilic coating EC radial fans with integrated electronics 3-way valve with electronic actuator. Generously dimensioned condensate tray panel with insulation – appearance of condensation water at the housing excluded.

The Rack Management System as an intelligent network agent monitors all the environmental influences on server racks. All the environmental parameters recorded are logically linked in a freely programmable filter system. As a reaction to certain environmental states, alarm messages are automatically generated and/or switch operations triggered. The Rack Management System offers all sensors for the most diverse environmental influences and at the same time controls their internal power supply.
In conjunction with the cooling system, the Rack Management System automatically and continuously determines and regulates the cooling requirement for the defined spatial state. All temperatures and fault messages can be read off from a display integrated in the Rack Management System.
Cooling Control:
Regulation of fan and water flow rate as a function of the temperature inside the cabinet |
Alarm messages and parameter monitoring |
Regulation via Rack Management System |
Remote polling of parameters via Rack Management System possible |
Automatic signal messages recallable via network management system |
Element 4 - Rack Control: Autarky, Any time, Everywhere:
Connection module units do not need a rack unit – this means more space for servers |
Open RS-232 protocol |
Multi-layer security and individual user profiles |
CAT 5 cable technology – flexible, smooth and economical installation |
Rack Management System(RMS):
All the environmental parameters recorded are logically linked in a freely programmable filter system |
As a reaction to certain occurrences, collective alarm messages are automatically generated and/or switch operations triggered |
| |
The RMS is controlled via V.24, SNMP, Telnet and/or web browser |
Through the RMS private MIB, the system can be integrated in all conventional network management systems The RMS is |
| |
autarkically functional and assures the operation of the complete EDP system |
Admission check via the Rack Management System with electromechanical locking possible |
